Orientation
to Online Courses

| Welcome again! For your convenience, your orientation is completely online. This makes sense since this is a course offered entirely online. You can do this activity whenever you can during the first week of class. |

If you are a student in MABS 67 - Access, you are only the second group of students to expereince the transition from the old CE6 to the new and improved and completley different Insight - the Moodle interface. All the information about logging in is found on the login page at insight.ccsf.edu. It would be a good idea to drag and drop a bookmark link to the toolbar in your browser once you navigate to the login page. Both online interfaces use popups, so disable your popup blocker. Insight users must use Firefox as their borwser. Login ID and Password for Insight: The login ID for Insight users is your student id. If your student ID begins with @, replace it with a lowercase x. Your password was mailed to you using the e-mail you supplied during registration. If you didn't supply an e-mail, contact the help desk as instructed on the login page. |

If you are a student in MABS 406 - Dreamweaver or CNIT 134 - Server-side Technologies, you are still on the old WebCT server. Login information can be found on the login page at online.ccsf.edu. WebCT users can use either IE or Firefox. It would be a good idea to drag and drop a bookmark link to the toolbar in your browser once you navigate to the login page. Both online interfaces use popups, so disable your popup blocker. Login ID and Password for WebCT: The login ID for WebCT users is your student id. If your student ID begins with @, replace it with X. Your password is changeme if you are new to WebCT, otherwise use your old password. If you can't remember your password, let me know and I will reset it to changeme. Once you login with the changeme password, you will be prompted to choose a proper password. |

If you are taking more than one online course, be sure to go to the correct URL. You cannot see courses that are on different servers. Don't forget to disable popup blockers and make it easy on yourself by bookmarking the login pages. |

Once you have logged in you will see all the online courses in which you are enrolled. Of course, click the course name to enter the course. There you will familiarize yourself with the interface, meet each other and find details on how we will proceed through the course. On the first day of class, login here: See you there! |
