Office Hrs:  Thurs., 5-6 pm, Fri. 11am-12  Rm S-143

Prerequisites:  Physics 10  (may be taken concurrently)

Text:  Physics 10 Lab package which can be obtained from the

CCSF bookstore (bring to second class meeting)

Equipment:  A basic calculator, pencil and paper.  Lab

Equipment will be supplied by the CCSF storeroom.

Tests:  There will be two tests and a final exam given.

Grades:  Your final grade will be based upon the following

           percentages:                                       90-100…….A

                                                                        80-89………B

                   Lab submissions………40 %              70-79………C

                   Two tests..……………..30 %      60-69………D

                   Final Exam……………..30 %     59&below….F

Attendance:  Attendance is required for each lab.  You should

also be punctual to all lab sessions.  Because of the fact that

it is difficult to make up missed labs, all effort should be

made to participate in all regularly scheduled lab sessions.

The lowest of all your lab grades will be dropped.  This,

of course, means that if you miss a lab for whatever

reason (illness, transportation problems, etc) it will be

recorded as a zero but will be dropped in the final grade

calculation.  Each absence after the first  two will lower

your final letter grade by one full grade.  For instance, if

your final letter grade is “B” but you have missed four

labs, your final letter grade will be “D”
