Course
Objective: Becoming
familiar with basic drafting concepts such as:
the use of
scales, orthographic projections, isometric projections,
perspectives,
dimensioning techniques, and sketching techniques.
Textbook: Engineering Graphics Technical Sketching by Jerry W.
Craig
Materials: 6” 45 degree triangle, 6” 30 degree
triangle
Quizzes: There will be 3, possibly four quizzes given.
There will be
no make up of missed quizzes. Quizzes
will be given at the
start
of the period.
Exams: A Mid-term and Final Exam will be given . Date will be
announced in Class.

Attendance
Policy: Students are
expected to attend all classes. Students
are
responsible for
missed lecture material and lab assignments. Each class day
missed
after the first 3 will lower the student’s final grade by one letter. For
instance,
if the student has a “B” average at the end of the semester but has
missed 4
days of class, the final grade will be reduced to “C”. Students missing
two straight
weeks of class without notifying the instructor will be dropped from
the course.
Class
Procedure: Class will
start at
assignment(s) will be
worked on in class. The completed
assignment will
be given to
the instructor at the end of the class period. Quizzes (about 5) will be
given at
the start of the period. There will be
no make-up of missed quizzes.
