Course description: Networking terminology and fundamental concepts: protocols, components, connectivity, design, installation, management, troubleshooting, and concepts of Wide Area Networks. This course is preparation for CompTIA's Network+ (industry exam) and provides a foundation for further study or a career in networking technical support or administration. It is recommended that this course be taken before advanced Microsoft networking classes.
Course date: Full Semester, 1/17-5/22
Location: Online, Hands_On labs mostly to be done at home.  Occasionally in Cloud 218 or Science 37.
Prerequisite(s): None. But a familiarity with computers equivalent to CNIT 100 is recommended

Attendance

Attendance is required for this course. It a student has not logged into Insight for TWO consecutive weeks without notifying one of us, we may, after notification, withdraw that student from the class.
