Required Lab attendance and Library Research Skills Workshop attendance for ESL 79

As part of the requirement for passing your ESL 79 class, you must attend: 10 hours of lab in addition to 4 library research skills workshops. If you have already attended any of the research skills workshops in the past, you may bring my proof and get credit for previous attendance.

Lab Requirement



You may fulfill your lab requirement by working with CDs in the ESL Lab on the 4th floor of the library and/or by attending pronunciation workshops at the LAC on the 2nd floor of the library.

Oral Skills Workshops at the LAC:
These workshops are limited in number and only 12 people can attend each one, so get there early!

Workshop A: Using the Online Public Access Catalog to Find Books and Other Materials in the CCSF Libraries
Workshop B: Using Periodical Databases and Indexes to Find Periodical Articles
Workshop C: Internet and Web Basics
Workshop W: Web Research and Evaluation
Workshop D: Research Paper Strategy (take this one after midterm, when you have a research topic chosen and approved for your 4th or final presentation topic and after taking the B, C or W workshops)
