Pronunciation Tapes for "Pronouncing American English" at the Media Center (Library 403) If you choose Option Two, in addition to attending 3 research skills workshops, you must spend at least 4 hours in the Language Lab (Library 403) listening to and practicing with the tapes for Pronouncing American English. There are 4 tapes and they contain the following lessons (Books are available for you to borrow for use with the tapes.)
If you have not had an orientation to the use of the listening center equipment, you will not be allowed to use it. Therefore, you must attend an orientation session, which usually takes about 30 minutes. Students who have had an orientation will have an ESL stamp on the back of their ID cards and will not have to repeat the orientation. If you already have an ESL stamp, just bring in your ID from a previous semester. If you have not had an orientation, you must check the schedule in R403 for a time that is convenient for you. In addition to the above requirements, you may also earn extra credit for extra workshop and/or lab attendance. |
