CITY COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO |
|
This is a hybrid class, meaning that it meets both face-to-face and online. It fulfills the ESL 140 requirement, but there are
only 3
hours of class meetings per week instead of the usual 6 hours. The rest of the class work is done online and on your own. This means that
the successful student in ESL 140 online is a person who is well-organized, hard-working, and self-disciplined. Deadlines
in an online class are very strict, and sometimes assignments that you don't do on time will no longer be available after
you miss the deadline, so you must do all of your work on time! The online portion of the class will be conducted using
a program called Blackboard. You will receive a Blackboard orientation at the second class
meeting in the lab.
The Fall 2008 ESL 140-831 class will be meeting every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9:30. The first class meeting will be on August 21st. The lab orientation for the online portion of the class will be on August 28th in Batmale 301 from 6:45 to 8:00 pm.
