Online Speech Communication Courses
In the summer of
2002 the English Department began offering CCSF students the opportunity
to take Speech Communication courses online. All Speech Communication
courses are offered as "hybrid" online classes. A majority
of the coursework is completed online however; students are required
to attend five mandatory meetings throughout the semester on the Ocean
Campus. Students deliver the required speeches during the five meetings.
Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Speech 12, was the
first course offered and proved to be very successful with CCSF students.
Elements of Public Speaking, Speech 1A was added to the
course offerings in the Fall of 2003.
